They are currently recruiting for the position of General Manager - Project Control, based in Mumbai, India.

Job Description

  • This position is responsible for all the Planning, Cost Control and Estimation activities on the projects being executed by the Company.
  • The position has to ensure that Company policies and directives are implemented and that competent personnel are assigned to carry out duties.
  • Responsible for work progress overview and work-hours usage to ensure that correct level of productivity is maintained and that all work carried out within the Department is completed within the allocated budget and program. Also, responsible for providing required information for Company's Quarterly Reports and Annual Budgets

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering mandatory with Post Graduation in with construction management or related fields as desirable.
  • Extensive years of experience in Project controls / Project Management which should include exposure to project construction site
  • Understanding of project management practices. Strong computer/information systems skills (commercial software applications, etc.)
  • Proficiency in basic functions of planning /scheduling principles and cost engineering methods including:-
    • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Change Management Systems / Procedures
    • Work Breakdown Structures
    • Earned Value Systems
    • Contingency / AFU Development
    • Benchmarking
    • Scheduling techniques
    • Resource loading and leveling of schedules
  • Detailed knowledge of design, procurement and construction / field service processes and their inherent cost performance risks
  • Proficient in estimating methods for capital costs
  • Ability to work closely with Project Teams to keep them informed and to promote best practices for project execution
  • Good team building, conflict resolution, and interpersonal & coaching skills
  • A broad focus and good business sense which allows coupling of engineering capabilities with business opportunities
  • Understanding of contract strategy and the contracting environment.
  • Good oral and written communications skills in English
  • Knowledge of Scheduling tools like Primavera and other Office Suites.
  • Willingness to learn from others

This is a permanent position.
