Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Field Ops Lead., based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
* Act as focal point for all matters related to Operations & Maintenance.
* Responsible for definition and handover of the Operations & Maintenance strategy, including spares, for the Project.
* Define teams/staffing plan
* Develop training plans
* Ensure PMR's produced and ready
* Select core crew, ensure training and readiness for start up
* Develop operating procedures and ensure control room and smart room readiness
* Conduct technological qualification of new technology which may be required for the project
* Negotiate and execute contracts for Operations and Maintenance aspects of the project
* Ensure Asset Readiness and ensure smooth handover
* Act as key focal point for asset to the project both onshore and offshore
* Where required run cost benefit analysis to support key decisions
* Establish and manage professional relationships with vendors, service providers and other external stakeholders to ensure provision of deliverables, service contracts and professional expertise in support to safe and efficient operation of the floater & wind turbine.
* Support planning integration between Project and Asset teams during project execution phase.
* Deliver on technical qualification & technological program defined for the Operations & Maintenance disciplines.
* Assist the Team Leader with the preparation of internal reviews
* Ensure decisions are made in full understanding of Asset integrity and Major Accident Hazard management, demonstrating to the wider business (is there any external stakeholders on this) that risks from major accident hazards are being managed.
* Contribute to internal reporting (technical reports, portfolio management, budget tracking, etc…) and presentations to management to ensure key stakeholders are aware of the project progress including cost and schedule progress updates and manpower requirements against approved Budgets, highlighting key challenges and providing solutions to mitigate.
* Collaborate with R&D Wind program to develop the R&D objectives for the pilot, particularly for the Industrialization objectives and Operation & Maintenance phase of the pilot.
* Ensure that the project benefits from ongoing R&D activities and propose R&D work relevant for the project
* Responsible for ensuring all activities are undertaken in accordance with Company rules and Group specifications and where required, submit derogations with support from the Client
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
* Ensure employees, contracted staff and contractor personnel are competent, properly supervised and are aware of the relevant systems of work and procedures to embed a collaborative working culture based on quality, delivery, performance and respect for health, safety and environmental issues
Experience & Qualifications:
* MSc or Masters in engineering discipline and membership of relevant Professional Body (chartered engineer or equivalent)
* Experience with delivery of EPC / EPCIC Projects including handover to Asset Operations
* Experience with delivery of Maintenance activities on offshore installations
* Experience with contracting of personnel transfer between vessel and Asset
* Significant relevant work experience
* Previous contract negotiation & contract management experience
* Excellent project management and leadership skills with the ability to work in an interdisciplinary and international team
* Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment
