Our client is a successful and rapidly expanding Retail Wholesaler based in Manchester.

An existing opportunity has to come to the Manchester market for an experienced Wholesale Merchandiser & Account Executive looking for an exceptionally exciting career move…

You will have a proven track record of working as a wholesale merchandiser and account executive within a wholesale environment. You will be able to implement and maintain critical paths and work with suppliers and customers in tandem, understanding the pressure of delivery in today's supply market.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing the critical path ensuring all orders are arriving on time
  • Compiling stock lists and inventory for all products
  • Dealing with shipping and logistics ensuring all packing lists are correct
  • Liaising with freight forwarders to ensure the best routes to market
  • Negotiating costs with freight forwarders
  • Visiting the warehouse and completing QC checks if required
  • Supporting your designated Key Account Manager to grow, develop and maintain client relationships whilst doing the same for your own portfolio of clients.
  • Building and maintaining effective customer relationships in order to build strong loyalty by possessing commitment, integrity, empathy and flexibility.
  • Achievement of sales targets and delivering high quality customer service to the existent and potential clients within EWUK.

The right candidate:

  • Proficient Microsoft programme use e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Quick Learner. Grasp concepts and have good follow through skills; adhering to work schedules and capable of overcoming challenges as they arise
  • Able to work independently, but also as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers, suppliers and colleagues (Team spirit).
  • An active listener; giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions when appropriate, and letting others fully state their ideas.
  • Able to effectively multi-task and prioritise with strong organisational skills. Can manage your own workload effectively and demonstrable ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • A minimum of 2 years proven track-record as a Wholesale Merchandiser & Account Executive in giftware, home fragrance, aromatherapy or other consumer goods sectors, and worked within a fast paced front-line, customer facing function
  • Demonstrable experience of achieving business targets and increasing account customer spend
  • An enthusiastic and motivated individual with personal drive, tenacity, positive outlook, strong work ethic and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • A self-starter, you will use your initiative and take responsibility.
  • If you see something which needs doing or improved, you will volunteer to do it.
  • Prepared to go the extra mile to deliver on excellence.
  • Trustworthy and able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times
