Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Project Operations Engineer - Decommissioning, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities:
* Support the forthcoming asset dual FEED for decommissioning, providing input and evaluating bids from an operational perspective.
* Provide operational input to P&A challenges, including access to wells and offshore installation of a variety of P&A units.
* Contribute to an integrated asset Resourcing Plan, representing Decommissioning in conversations with asset leadership to optimise late life people strategy.
* Develop the strategy on a future operations model for asset's decommissioning phase, post CoP.
* Maintain asset vulnerabilities register, engaging with asset team on changes and mitigations.
* Maintain a Projects view of maintenance strategies in late life and influence accordingly, focusing on critical items for safe operations and decommissioning post CoP, including power generation and crane reliability.
* Contribute to regular Decommissioning Committee Meetings with field partners.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent through qualification and experience
* Solid, broad-based operational experience in late life phases of asset life, with an excellent track record of delivery.
* Experience of Major Projects processes and operations deliverables in the Projects space
* Ability to interface, influence, and work effectively with members of Project and Production leadership.
* Bias for simplification and efficiency with focus on fit-for-purpose deliverables that meet the needs of the business.
* Ability and readiness to travel offshore for ad-hoc visits
* Good written & verbal communication skills.
* Strong analytical skills with expertise in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ability to adapt quickly to new 'digital' technologies.
* Project Management Professional / Association of Project Management (APM) accredited
* Good understanding of installation operator legislation and requirements in the UK, including Safety Case
