Onshore Telecoms Engineer

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Onshore Telecommunications Technician for an Oil and Gas client.

Based from Aberdeen, the successful candidate will be working 3 days a week, Tuesday to Thursday and a full week if holiday cover is required.

The position is based onshore supporting 3 platforms however some offshore trips may be required.


  • Raise an Management of Change if requested to by offshore management and represent this change as a Job Responsible Engineer (JRE)
  • Redline drawings and have them submitted to IM
  • Request tag numbers on any new equipment and submit to IM
  • Provide updates to Senior Telecoms Engineer
  • Represent Telecoms weekly gate meetings for all three assets
  • To manage offshore workload to ensure hours are not overbooked for tech during trip
  • To provide information on work order if the work is not currently approved to pass the gate criteria
  • Point of contact for the offshore telecoms techs during their trip and provide support or escalate if there is a requirement for assistance
  • Provide a weekly report to the senior telecoms engineer and escalate anything where assistance is required
  • Provide cover to the senior telecoms engineer during holiday periods

Duration would be initially 4 months with the potential of a further extension.
