Position description
We are seeking a Hydrocarbon Liquid Custody Transfer Measurement Engineer To Join The Process Automations Systems Division Of Process And Control Systems Department

The Process Automations Systems Division (PASD) is responsible for providing best in class technical services and support to Company Operating Organizations and Joint Ventures. Including but not limited to project support, standard development, technical consultation, technology evaluation, etc. PASD cultivates technical talents in the disciplines of hydrocarbon measurement, process instrumentation, process automation solutions, high integrity protection systems and plant network security.

Custody Measurement Engineer primary role is to provide professional technical guidance on international standards, operational processes, their optimization, facility design and solution to all aspect of liquid custody transfer measurement problems.

Minimum requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.

You will have a minimum of nine years' experience in fiscal and custody transfer applications of hydrocarbon liquids, including at least 3 years in Sampling & Testing of Hydrocarbon Liquids.

You will be able to demonstrate mastery level competency in hydrocarbon measurement applications (volume calculations, proving, sizing, calibration, etc.)

You will have the ability to design and/or validate the design of sampling systems for custody transfer of liquid hydrocarbons

You will have notable contributions to recognized international journals and/or international standard organizations

A professional registration such as PE or equivalent is preferred

Duties and responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Develop/maintain Company engineering standards, procedures, general instructions, and best practices for liquid custody transfer measurement systems
Provide mastery-level technical guidance on potential problems and remedies to complex problems
Introduce new technologies to help the company achieve/maintain the best in class position in oil and gas
Perform technical audits of Company liquid measurement facilities and provide recommendations for their improvements.
Participate in a task forces to investigate measurement discrepancies
Conduct frequent evaluations of custody measurement systems
Identify, propose and resolve chronic bad actors impacting the accuracy of custody measurement systems
Provide technical input on custody transfer measurement projects to project Management teams, operating organizations, vendors, manufacturers and design firms, etc.
Conduct seminars, facilitate technical exchange meetings, participate in conferences, publish papers, develop training programs and deliver engineering level course
Mentor and facilitate professional development of young talent
