Objective of Position: To perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and plant modification on the telecom equipment in a safe and cost effective manner to ensure the facilities are available to meet production target.

Direct Functions:
(List of tasks, actions and processes performed by the employee holding this position and within his/her sphere of personal responsibility - not involving continuous participation by colleagues, line manager and / or subordinates)

- To perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and plant modification on the telecom equipment and office machines in a safe and cost effective manner to ensure the facilities are available to meet production targets, especially Immarsat, Vsat, UHF, VHF, Weather monitoring, PAGA, RACON, EPIRB, AIS, RADAR transponder, PC, Printers, Photocopiers, Scanners, Fax machines…..…
- Ensuring the high reliability of communications between Offshore with vessel, helicopter, the Pipeline Operator and HCMC office.
- Ensure the high reliability of the internal platform communications and office machine.
- Liaise with the telecoms technician onshore and Dinh Co to resolve problems
- Review operating procedures to ensure operability and reliability and are aligned with the HSE goals.
- Manage the personal computing environment
- Monitor equipment performance
- Participate in the Emergency organization according to the Emergency Response Plan.
- Responsible for ensuring that the quality of the work conforms to all relevant specifications and standards and that the work is performed according to applicable procedures and instructions.
- Responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out in a safe and environmentally manner.
- Responsible for inspections of all contractors' equipment prior to its use on site.
- Fully conversant with the Work Control System.
- React quickly and effectively to breakdown situations while maintaining a high level of safety performance.
- Provide high quality planned maintenance, which contributes towards high plant reliability and availability.
- Adapt to changing priorities and integrate with other disciplines create an effective team.
- Record results adequately in the computer based maintenance management system.
- Assist operations where disciplines overlap to provide an overall efficient maintenance service.
- Maintain accurate shift logs and handover of all activities.
- Ensure all hazards, faults and problems are recorded and solved or reported to the Supervisor.
- Maintain own skills by training and contribute to the training of other team members and new staff.
- Maintain well housekeeping at all times.
- Liaise on a regular basis with the Operations Supervisor advising on spares and material requirements.
- Maintain and update drawings, records, reports, and procedures as required.
- Assist in preparation of quality work packs for identified low nomination and maintenance activities.
- Support Operations Supervisor in assigned tasks.
- Complete tasks assigned by line manager within own competence
- Strictly comply with Company's Policy on Combatting Corruption and all relevant procedures of Company in
Vietnam in the implementation of the Policy

Joint Functions:

etc.), i.e. that are performed through continuous interaction with colleagues, immediate superior and/or
subordinates.)
- Team investigation/troubleshooting on equipment faults with Electrical team, Instrument team, vendor, telecoms/IT service provider, onshore support team
- Team working for modification tasks
- Working with onshore support team to provide, review, revise procedures, guidelines.

- Contact with Manufacturer of equipment for operations, maintenance issues
- Contac with manufacturer, retailer for materials.

Regulation of Activities:

be followed when performing the work:
- National regulations, standards
- Company code of conduct, standards, instructions.

Job Requirements:

- Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronic, Electrical

- Good understanding of basic science and technology.

- Understanding in Control of Work procedure and requirements.
- Good understanding Telecoms equipment and office machines on platform and test equipment.
- Good understanding telephone system, PA system on platform.
- Good understanding standards for Ex equipment.
- Understanding computer structure and operating system and network.
- Understanding of the facility process and fire and gas system.
- Good fault finding skills.
- Formally trained for Emergency Response as Telecoms Technician.
- Good communication skills towards platform personnel and third parties.
- Good reporting skills
- Good numerical skill

- IELTS 5.0 or equivalent

- 4 years of experience in related roles

- Skillful MS Office, Maximo and personal computing equipment trouble shooting
