Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Well Interventions Site Leader on a contract basis. The position will be based in Muscat, Oman on a 28 day rotation. For further information about this position please apply.

The successful candidate will:

  • Support the engineering team with the writing of work instructions / programs, as well as all with engineering and planning work scopes as applicable.
  • Lead the commissioning of the snubbing unit in-field.
  • Lead the pre-job and post-job inspections and testing of the snubbing units and ensuring that all pre and post job inspection forms are completed. Ensures that the maintenance and general upkeep of the snubbing units and related equipment are well handled.
  • Lead the operational phase of the Velocity String Technology Trials in-field.
  • Participate in after action review and campaign close-out activities.
  • Coach other well site leaders and share the knowledge of snubbing/ HWO.

Essential Criteria and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of snubbing / HWO / Velocity String installation-operations experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of wellsite supervision experience, with an emphasis on land-based operations, preferable in Middle East.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge and experience in high pressure, high temperature gas well completions, interventions and testing, and with excellent knowledge and awareness of associated HSE issues.
  • Has current Well Control Certification (IWCF or equivalent) at supervisory level.
