Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Technical Quality Lead, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate personal commitment to the SHE policy and striving towards zero incident project delivery.
* Act as company primary point of contact with Group Quality discipline
* Create and implementing a company Quality Strategy
* Maintain Projects' Quality Management System to provide assurance that all project deliverables are fit for purpose and conform to all relevant Company Rules, General Specifications, Industry Standards, Legislation etc.
* Ensure processes and arrangements which monitor the systems of the Projects & Engineering organisation and its Contractors are in place to provide a level of assurance that all Group & stakeholder requirements and expectations are being met.
* Develop and maintain a Projects' Quality Plan or Plans as necessary to be used to control the work conducted during the execution of projects and modifications.
* Ensure Projects' Quality KPIs are identified and that a system is in place for Quality Performance Reporting and monitoring.
* Manage the Projects' Non-Conformance process and facilitate lessons learned with continual improvement practices.
* Effectively monitor Contractors and Suppliers to ensure they understand and comply with Company Quality requirements as defined in Exhibit "H" or Article 19 of Contracts.
* Ensure that all critical Quality, HSE and technical feedback is submitted to group via the database
* Provide Technical Quality support and guidance for operating assets.
* Represent Company on industry committees and forums involving legislative authorities and other oil and gas operators. Promote best practice and use of innovative technology including maintenance of the CMS principles.
* Audit when required
* Train, coach, support quality personnel within Asset and standalone Project teams.
* Provide training and development plans for Quality people in company
* Provide Quality input during tenders, clarifications and contract award
* Support Assets with Root cause analysis / problem solving / failure investigations
* Provide technical support for the development of continuous improvement within company.
* Provide Quality assurance for Projects and Engineering that is defined, fit for purpose and implemented in compliance with relevant Company Rules, General Specifications, Industry Standards, and Legislative requirements.
* Act as focal point with Group Quality discipline. Maintain relationship with headquarters to request quality assistance as necessary and provide feed-back.
* Ensure key engineering documentation, procedures and activities are maintained and carried out in accordance with CMS and regulatory requirements.
* Promote Quality management best practice, drive continuous improvement within Projects and Modifications teams and maintain company technical principles.
* Assure and maintain the competence of company and Contractor Project personnel.
* Develop and maintain productive and constructive relationships with site-based/offshore personnel, onshore operations/technical teams and external contractors/vendors

Experience & Qualifications:
* Degree in Engineering/Technical Discipline.
* Significant engineering experience in the oil & gas industry, including offshore/site experience.
* Chartered Engineer status.
* Detailed knowledge of legislation/regulations relevant to discipline.
* Good working knowledge of engineering disciplines, associated technical standards, processes and relevant legislation
* Ability to create positive relations with peers and stakeholders internally and externally
* Proven experience with training and coaching
