Job description

Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Senior Associate Strategic Planning & Ops on behalf of our Multinational Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology client located in Cambridge and Uxbridge. Initial 6-month contract, with possibility of extension. This role is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for project management support and operational activities for GDO functional head and related leadership team.
  • Support the functional communication plan including creating memos for functional head and oversight of functional memos. Facilitate distribution of all functional memos.
  • Manages updates and maintenance of functional SharePoint sites.
  • Provide project management support including annual Face to Face Meetings, Special Departmental Cross Functional Projects.
  • Meeting management support of functional All-Staff meetings, leadership team meetings and various other GDO cross-functional meetings.
  • Business operations support including functional document updates, functional budget and headcount tracking, goals development and tracking.
  • Supports annual staff engagement and talent review sessions.
  • To provide a variety of specialized support activities to ensure the optimal functioning of the Global Development Operations Functional Areas.
  • Assist in the implementation of business processes, process improvements and associated enabling initiatives within the Global Development Operations functions.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Change management.
  • Budget and project management experience preferred.
  • Biopharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience with Project Management tools and processes (e.g. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Teams, SharePoint).
  • Some understanding of Clinical trial execution knowledge.
  • Strong computer literacy, including word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to interface effectively with peers and higher levels.
  • Ability to navigate through a team or matrix environment.
  • Quick learner, proactive, takes initiative.
  • Results oriented and goal driven.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, interpret, communicate information effectively.
