Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Materials Management Specialist, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Analyse SAP data to identify and manage surplus material. Work with internal stakeholders & vendor to progress disposition.
* Conduct investment recovery processes (sales & disposals).
* Analyse all options to ensure best revenue return gained.
* Creation of internal paperwork, obtaining all relevant approvals, ERP system write off and end user collection.
* Co-ordination of Third-Party Vendor Storage Costs including service order creation, asset allocations & invoice approvals.
* Support the buying team on all materials issues relating to the repairs process.
* For items deemed BER (beyond economical repair) raise disposal paperwork, analyse current stock levels & requirements in SAP and update as necessary.
* Act as customs focal point for the business
* Provide customs clearance instructions to company customs agent for all imports / exports.
* Produce monthly shipment report for purposes of Bill of Discharge reporting.
* Training of users on system processes linking to business processes
* Develop and promote new ways of working to improve performance within the team & business.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Excellent working knowledge of SAP MM/RLM end to end solution.
* Experience in similar materials management role ideally within the Oil & Gas industry
* Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office applications specially Excel
* Working knowledge of HMRC regulations related to the movement of materials to/from the UKCS.
* Team Player with excellent communication skills, ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders both internal & external.
* Ability to manage own workload, and where required assist within other areas in the Materials Team
* Ability to change priorities as and when the business needs dictate.
