Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Maintenance Officer - Mechanical based in Mumbai.

Job Description

To carry out maintenance of plant equipment as per approved standards, procedures and schedules complying with company HSSE policy using safe system of work ensuring no harm to people, assets and environment.

  • Ensure compliance with HSSE standards, especially process safety standards, Life Saving Rules and HSE critical tasks.
  • Supervise contractor activities to ensure compliance with HSE management systems.
  • Ensures the reliability and integrity of the static and rotating plant equipment by the execution of maintenance tasks and application of approved standards, procedures and schedules and establish control within an ISO certified quality assurance system.
  • Resource availability for work execution.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and analysis.
  • Develops specific work instructions and work plans.
  • Ensure proper updating of job history in maintenance management system.
  • Inspection and approval of contractor-owned tools and equipments.
  • Ensure competency of work-force for job execution.
  • Ensure contractor-owned lifting equipment is inspected and certified.
  • Execution of assigned work tasks - whilst working under minimum supervision.
  • Continuous improvement for reduction of mean time to repair.
  • Improve HSE performance of contractors by feedback and motivation.
  • Ensure that contractor owned lifting equipment tools and tackles are inspected for fitness before entry into gas fence.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are allowed inside gas fence only after filling in the mobile plant inspection check-sheet.
  • Maintain inspection records.
  • Execute planned inspection/PMs according to schedule.
  • Verification and assurance of task by PACER generated PMRs.
  • Verify that contractor lifting equipment has been inspected and certified.
  • Perform the calibration of TSVs, PSVs, VSVs as per the scheduled frequency.
  • Verify and maintain job records, PACER history.
  • Ensure that before allowing heavy equipment to work, physical condition and operator competence is checked.
  • Maintain Vehicle inspection records.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with moderate experience.
  • Moderate industrial experience for Diploma holders with experience as maintenance technician.
  • Petrochemical environment, oil and gas; preferably in a LNG or other cryogenic facility.
  • Maintenance Execution.
  • Overhaul inspection of equipments like pumps, compressors, gas turbines etc.
  • Working experience on Relief and mechanical valves.
  • Inspection of static equipments according to the procedural requirements.
  • Conversant with alignment techniques, simple workshop jobs, hydraulic tightening etc techniques.
  • Identifications of spare part.
  • General Corrosion and Materials Engineering.
  • Trouble shooting, Man power management, interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Team leadership skills.
  • Communication skills in English and/or local language.

This is a permanent position.

The salary for this position is negotiable.
