IDS Global Solutions Manager

We have a current opportunity for an IDS Global Solutions Manager on a permanent basis.

Job Description

  • Responsible for leading a global team of solution delivery specialists; collaborating with business application owners, solution architects, product managers and analysts.
  • Provide leadership to the Global Business Unit Solutions team, oversee team's activity, provide direction and guidance. Set employee goals and objectives and monitors performance including performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Continuously review performance of team members, providing support, encouragement and supporting the identification of career development opportunities and training needs to help team reach potential.
  • Responsible and accountable for all aspects of financial discpipline required to successfully deliver the Global Business Unit solution portfolio; covering proprietary application license and contract management, onboarding external resources and maintaining relevant purchased services.
  • Responsible for championing adoption of a standardised solution portfolio, promoting efficiency along with continuous improvement, and encouraging rationalization where applicable.
  • Responsible for Global Business Unit solution innovation, functional change/demand management & decision making for any evolution or transformation.
  • Manages relationships and project expectations to ensure alignment with Business Engagement Partners, End Users, external customers / vendors, and support functions such as procurement, finance, and other IDS teams as required.
  • Significantly contributes towards setting direction for evaluation of new business demands and subsequently identification, validation, implementation and maintenance of appropriate business solutions or custom development to meet such business demand.

Qualifications/ experience required:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering technology solutions, and successfully managing global software contracts, across a diverse, global organization.
  • Excellent leadership skills to lead / manage matrix teams in multiple geographies and collaborate with a variety of different teams.
  • A strong background in Application Management either as a member of an application portfolio support team or of a project team implementing new solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in management science, operations, business analytics, or business administration or related fields required, or equivalent work experience
  • Recognized IT/BRM/Project's qualification desired - ITIL, BRM Institute, PMI, or other accredited certification
