Job description

Our client, a major Energy Company, has an opportunity for 2 x Deep Water Fluids and Cement Superintendents, for a 2/28 rotational opportunity out of Namibia.

Project Description :

* Offshore project in deep water environment - FSI position is onshore
* Candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19
* Rotation 4 week on * 4 week off (depending on COVID restriction, quarantine, PCR test,…)
* Exploration well with high technical constraint.
* The estimated overall duration is 6 months (minimum) starting June/July 2022

Job dimension:

* Ensure the QA / QC of daily fluids reports and cement job reports as well as track the associated operational costs.
* Ensure that cementing test procedures at the lab are as per all relevant standards.
* Manage indirectly the fluid supervisor on board the rig ensuring adjustment to mud properties as required, rig QAQC checks are done on mud, bulk and cement formulations….
* Responsible to track the product usage, LMP & Bulk status in the contractor's base, on the vessels and on the rig
* Review and evaluate the service providers performance

Required Skills and Experience:

* Candidate must be flexible concerning the location depending on the start date of the project
* Mandatory : fluent in English (spoken and written), French language written and spoken is a plus
* Extensive experience in DW environment and exploration well / WBM and NABM systems.
* Should be a team player and possess good communication skills to improve fluids management on rig locations/office.
* Should be sensitive to cultural differences between different members of team and be flexible in management style.

  • BOSIET (Opito) with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) Training.
