Purpose
Due to our phenomenal growth, we are seeking an Asset Technology Lead to join our expanding Operations, Maintenance and Optimisation business. The postholder, as the subject matter expert in energy asset management and operational systems, will develop and oversee the delivery of a technology strategy which contributes significantly to supporting Anesco's growth plans.

The incumbent be responsible for developing the technology strategy for existing and future energy asset management and operational systems, including SCADA and Optimisation systems, which will support renewable distributed generation assets.

In this role the individual will own the relationship with the relevant, strategically important technology providers and will work in partnership with Anesco O&M, Optimisation and the wider EPC delivery teams to ensure appropriate 'best in class' asset technology support. The technology, which is diverse and varied, is critical to Anesco's approach to asset management. The individual will be a key member of the delivery team and will have a significant role in building and maintaining 'best in class' technology capability for the Anesco business as well as safe and reliable management of customer and merchant assets.


Additional information
The O&M team is market leading in the space, with engineers covering the span of the country and over 1.3GW under management. This role will play an important part in ensuring that we are at the cutting-edge of technological and analytical advancements and will ensure that we are well-placed to continue our growth over the coming years. The team is collaborative and focussed on delivery and plays a big part in Anesco's growth plans as we accelerate the transition to net-zero carbon emissions.

The Optimisation team is a relatively new department at Anesco, but with assets already under management and an ambitious growth-plan backed by the wider-business we are well placed to make a big impact on the storage route-to-market space. Skills & Competencies

  • An experienced, diligent, and highly technical leader.

  • Experienced to develop and deploy technology of excellence, to underpin the business' day to day operation of energy assets in a safe, efficient, and optimised manner.

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical, information systems (IS), engineering, commercial and management teams, to enable delivery of industry leading solutions.

  • Commercial acumen to understand the costs and benefit implications of technology and decisions.

  • Strong leadership skills within project functions and the wider organisation - encompassing high performing project, cross-functional and virtual teams.

  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across multiple business interfaces.

  • Confidence and credibility with highly developed communications to drive behavioural and performance improvement.

  • Budget management and the development/analysis of management information.

Qualifications & experience

  • Principle / lead of engineering, Operational Technology in Battery Energy Storage, experience of PV would add value.

  • Extensive experience managing significant hardware, software or technology strategy, procurement or software implementation projects.

  • Proven experience of substantial and continuous operational or technology improvement and innovation.

  • A solid understanding of distributed energy technologies including, Battery Energy Storage and Ground mounted solar PV.

  • Proven ability to establish and articulate a vision and targets, develop and execute associated strategies, and to track and measure results (performance metrics).

  • Experience in managing complex vendor, supplier, sub-contractor relationships.

  • A good understanding of NGESO services Grid code.
