Job description

Our client has an opportunity for a Workshop Technician to join their team on full-time, permanent basis, based in Inverness.

As the Workshop Technician you will be required to service and repair products in a workshop environment and provide basic first line remote support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and service of a diverse range of products

  • Routine maintenance and repair of underwater lights

  • Sole responsibilty to complete task and record time, parts used and details of work undertaken

  • Telephone support to customers

  • Technical support to the sales team

  • May be required to perform other duties resulting from organisational change, restructuring or temporary re-assignment of work.

Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to electrical, electronic or mechanical equipment

  • HNC/HND in electrical or electronic engineering or recognised technical apprenticeship

  • Support of, or direct involvement in maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic or mechanical equipment

  • Basic IT and networking experience

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Full driving licence
