Job description

Our client has a current opportunity for a Sustainability Coordinator - Carbon to join their team on a full-time permanent basis, based in Invergordon.

As Sustainability Coordinator - Carbon, you will support the Sustainability Lead and Quality and Environment Manager to provide hands on and practical sustainability support to deliver the business's 5-year strategy pillar "Working for our Sustainable future" and Sustainability goals that includes the 2030 Carbon Neutral Objective.

Duties and responsibilities

  • To accurately gather and maintain sustainability data across all functions of the business.

  • To actively participate in delivering our Carbon Neutral objective and to assist in supporting water stewardship of the ecosystems surrounding our operational facilities.

  • Work effectively alongside the Packaging Sustainability Coordinator to support in delivering against all company sustainability goals.

  • Collect carbon tracking data and maintain trackers.

  • Identify and help implement opportunities to install sustainable green energy solutions by site to ensure Green Print targets are met.

  • Develop energy maps to gain understanding of energy saving opportunities and where waste energy can be re-used.

Skills and experience

  • A strong understanding in environment, sustainability and energy efficiency.

  • A full UK driving license is essential for this role.

  • Basic knowledge of Environment and Sustainability regulations and initiatives.

  • Qualification in a relevant subject is desirable.

  • Understanding of distilleries or other energy intensive industries would be advantageous.
