Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Rotating Equipment Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Provides support to the Operations team in the day to day running of the platform(s) and resolution of key package equipment integrity and operational issues.
* Effective management of all rotating package equipment reliability threats.
* Conduct and guide root cause investigations into rotating equipment package failures.
* Steer equipment troubleshooting and repair efforts, with multi discipline teams.
* Identify and implement system improvements opportunities.
* Manages 3rd party support contracts as required.
* Assesses performance and condition monitoring results, ensuring appropriate follow up.
* Supports the asset(s) in management of the medium-term reliability of equipment through 'look ahead' planning and seek for recommendations relating to strategic facilities improvements.
* Makes routine visits offshore to ensure package equipment reliability issues and operational constraints are understood

Experience & Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent professional qualification in relevant engineering discipline and significant experience working with rotating equipment packages offshore.
* Current Offshore Medical and Survival Certificate
* Chartered Engineer status with an appropriate engineering council registered body
* Significant experience in offshore operations and maintenance delivery, knowledge of rotating equipment packages, with a high level of knowledge of UK offshore operations and infrastructure.
* Experienced in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) - MAXIMO.
* Understanding of key legislation and regulatory framework applicable to UKCS offshore regime with knowledge of major accident hazards, performance standards, assurance, and verification activities.
* Good knowledge of other discipline functions e.g., Inspection, Integrity, Instrument and Control, Electrical.
* Sound knowledge of hazard identification and risk assessment techniques and management of change processes and tools.
* Proficient in Root Cause Analysis Techniques.
* Experience in the management of vendor services contracts.
* Significant experience with ancillary systems within OEM packages for Gas Turbines, Gas compressors and Pumps.
* Proactively shares best practices and knowledge.
* Proven ability to plan and manage resources to deliver results.
* Computer literate with high level of competence in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proven ability to develop highly effective working relationships.
* Willingness to travel offshore in regular basis.
