Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Mechanical Static Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Provide discipline support to producing assets and decommissioning team
* Deliver maintenance plans/programs to ensure cost effective operation and asset integrity throughout facility lifetime
* Fully adhere to planning processes to ensure 'right first time' delivery of mechanical static work scopes
* Budget holder for mechanical static items within Operations Centre
* Responsible for continuously challenging technical solutions, engineering performance and cost of modification projects
* Review vendor work packs to ensure compliance with performance standard requirements
* Review vendor quotes and raise orders in Maximo
* Coordinate & robustly manage vendors to successfully deliver planned maintenance
* Collaborate with key vendors to collectively problem solve/deliver complex scope
* Provide technical support to offshore operations when required
* Prepare and present execution reviews for upcoming work scopes
* Responsible for equipment performance including spare part management and warranty follow up
* Own management of change for non-like-for-like mechanical scopes
* Input to operational risk assessments as required/delegated
* Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager

Experience & Qualifications:
* Understanding of processes required to meet HSE objectives. Fully conversant with UK regulatory environment
* Engineering degree level or satisfactory equivalent e.g. HND/HNC plus preferable but not essential
* Prior experience with Maximo for maintenance management is preferred
* Previous experience planning, preparing & delivering offshore work scopes using Maximo or other maintenance management systems is strongly preferred
* Able to drive continuous improvement and to instigate and make change happen
* Set ambitious, yet realistic goals and targets, and consistently achieve these.
* Previous relevant technical experience
* Offshore experience
* Self-driven. Strong personal leadership and drive toward teamwork. Ability to perform effectively within a strong peer group and to drive toward optimal business solutions.
* Good communication, influencing, negotiating and networking skills. Builds excellent relationships. Respected internally and externally.
* Awareness of the company's HSEQ Policies and Business Management System (BMS)
* Awareness of the company's Values & Business Principles
