Looking for a new challenge in the oil and gas industry? We are currently seeking a Hydrocarbon Accountant to join our clients dynamic team!

The client offers a generous employment compensation and benefits package as well as hybrid working (3 days a week in the office and 2 at home) Their offices are based in Central/West Aberdeen.

As a Hydrocarbon Accountant, you will play a critical role in the production and sales of hydrocarbon products. You will work closely with technical teams to collate, analyze and report production and sales data, providing insights and recommendations for performance management, statutory reporting, and external communication.

Your responsibilities will include performing variance analysis and resolving queries on production and sales volumes, as well as preparing country production volume analysis for review by the Head of Hydrocarbon Management and key internal and external reports on volumes and revenue.

You will also be responsible for invoicing or checking invoices for gas, oil, LNG, and NGL sales and creating ad hoc reports and analysis on revenues, tariffs, and production as required.

To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience with volume reporting, stock accounting, sales and invoicing of oil and gas streams or similar products. You must also have a relevant bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, relevant experience working in a multi-currency organization, and experience in the oil and gas business. Use of SAP would be beneficial.
