Human Resources Representative - Senior
Carlsbad, CA
6+ month initial contract
Hourly Rate: $48-52/hr

Orion Life Sciences is hiring in Carlsbad, CA for an experienced Human Resource Representative to work with our Medical Device Manufacturing client. This is a highly visible strategic role that will be involved in all aspects of HR across the organization.

Job Description:
* Provide strategic HR leadership and hands-on support for managers and associates at the Carlsbad site.
* Build and execute the Associate Value Proposition for the Carlsbad Operations group, retaining and engaging our current associates and expanding our reach in our local communities.
* Manage projects at a global level using corporate business practices, partnering with peers in the US, Europe, and Asia to advance our strategic human resource goals for ready-now talent, workforce planning, and associate retention.
* Partner with management to address associate engagement and performance management.
* Serve as a key leader within the North American Operations team for associate and manager training & development strategy and execution, partnering with peers in Europe to execute T&D activity in North America.

The essential requirements of the job include:
* Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of experience or Master's degree with 7+ years of experience.
* Demonstrated experience in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement environments. Analytical skills will be key.
* A Human Resources background spanning all aspects of the discipline, including employee relations, learning & development, talent management, and recruiting.
* Strong conflict resolution skills and a solid background in conducting investigations.
* Convert data to information, then to strategy, execution, and sustain the change.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Familiarity and prior experience with COVID-19 protocols at both a tactical and strategic level.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel capability and Workday HRIS system experience.
