Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Head of Operations UK based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:

Operations
* Responsible for providing onshore operations support to the offshore operations team.
* Responsible for safe, productive and reliable offshore operations and effectively managing production outages.
* Responsible for implementing production operations standards including maintenance processes and procedures.
* Responsible for compliance with the Safety Case and all relevant legislation relating to offshore operations.
* Responsible for long, medium and short term operations planning.
* Accountable for delivery of key operational contracts in operations and maintenance area.
* Accountable for approving continued suitability of operation of assets based on cumulative risk profile.

Maintenance
* Responsible for providing first line maintenance support to the offshore maintenance team.
* Responsible for delivery of maintenance and inspection work execution and achievement of maintenance KPI's.
* Responsible for implementation of operations, maintenance and reliability programs and driving continuous improvement.

Shutdown Management
* Responsible for safe, efficient Shutdown management, planning, coordination and delivery in accordance with the Shutdown Management Manual.

People Development
* Responsible for the development, training and mentoring of the onshore Operations team.
* Responsible for management of training and competency of offshore personnel.

Budgetary
* Responsible for operating expenditure and management in relevant budget area.

Supply Chain and Logistics
* Responsible for effective management of key contractors and ensuring provision of adequate asset support through effective contract delivery performance.
* Responsible for the efficient utilisation of helicopters and vessels in support of UK producing assets.


Experience & Qualifications:

* Relevant university degree or relevant work experience which may compensate for limited formal education.
* Extensive experience in, and deep knowledge of offshore operations, the E&P business and Oil & Gas industry.
* Strong HSEQ leadership qualities, including leadership experience in Emergency Response management.
* Strong knowledge of production operations, production facilities and processing.
* Experience in offshore supervisory/ managerial role beneficial.
* Extensive experience of Offshore Installation Management and regulatory framework on UK Continental Shelf.
* Fully conversant with operations control of work processes and risk based assessment/decision making.
* Background in Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical, Process Engineering.
* Direct experience in maintenance processes, planning, execution and service delivery contract management.
* Experience in shutdown or turnaround management and delivery beneficial.
* Experience in operational readiness, handover acceptance and start-up of new production facilities beneficial.
* Previous experience in managerial or leadership role required.
* Adaptable approach in order to ensure operations are supported on a continuous basis.
