Job description

We have a current opportunity for a WTG Commissioning Supervisor on a temporary basis. The position will be based in New London, CT and New Jersey Wind Port in NJ. For further information about this position please apply.

Description:
o Monitor quality of WTG components/products/deliveries offshore and onshore at WTG completion harbours:
o Min 5 months in New London, Connecticut and thereafter
o Min 24 months at New Jersey Wind Port (NJWP), Salem County

Responsibilities
o Monitor and reporting of status of commissioning activities
o Ensure that outstanding works and quality issues are reported and followed up
o Confirm mechanical and electrical completion from as built documentation stance
o Ensure that work is carried out in compliance with the project HSE rules and local legislation
o Ensure that the work is organized and done according to the commissioning manual
o Ensure that tests are carried out and commissioning work documented according to rules, procedures and templates
o review and monitor validity of progress of commissioning being reported in daily progress reports
o Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties performed ineffective processes
o Assist WTG Commissioning manager with tasks/ contractual preparation as required.
o Give input to Design Critical to Quality (CTQ)

Tasks
o Coordinate commissioning walk-downs together with the supplier
o Report in NCR system, follow up on closure of relevant quality issues
o Participate in review, preparation and coordination of detailed commissioning schedules
o Day-to-day supervision and management of commissioning personnel/contractors assigned
o Contribute to coordination of resources
o Verify that tests are carried out and documented
o Review of tests to ensure compliance with commissioning manual / contract
o Monitor performance test of sub-systems
o Ensure documentation quality and reviews are carried out by commissioning team
o Follow up of snags/NCRs for project reporting
o Co-ordination with HV team for SAP requirements
o Ensure readiness of take-over documentation and quality status for Ops Prep.
o Take part in site meetings
o Participate in verifying that the commissioning is documented according to the commissioning manual, rules and guidelines
o Participate in verifying that HSE procedures are implemented
o Participate in verifying Global Operations ability to take over defined technical area
o Participate in data collection and analysis of quality performance surveys.
o Ensure QAS is up to date
o Co-ordinate handover from manufacturing and to installation
o Attend and input to First article inspections.
o Reporting quality and commissioning status

o Non-conformity (Synergi) reports
o As required by the WTG Commissioning Manager
