Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Wells Construction Team Lead, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Provide assurance to Wells project teams as Well Construction Technical Authority by reviewing BoD's, Risk Assessments, OMAR Notifications, Drilling / Completions / Workover / P&A programmes & MOC's.
* Provide technical support to Wells project teams by attending well related reviews - design meetings, BoD meetings, DWOP's, Rig Readiness meetings etc
* Provide technical support for discipline engineers.
* Technical input into vendor supplier documents & tender reviews.
* Identify and evaluate appropriate new technologies that can reduce risk, time and cost.
* Responsible for driving well optimisation processes and "Right Scoping" deliverables.
* Own and regularly review documents in relation to Well Control equipment and procedures, including contractual arrangements with 3rd party Well Control vendors.
* Responsible for leading or supporting all wells incident investigations.
* Assisting in preparation for regulatory compliance audits and assisting in responding to HSE, OPRED and NSTA recommendations.
* Keeping up to date with industry guidance, engineering standards & legislation.
* Setting cadence of audit schedule and completing internal audits of wells standards and procedures.
* Manage Wells Technologist & Performance Analyst (improving performance data recording/metrics).
* Manage Subsea Team Lead & Completions Team Lead to ensure wells related due diligence conducted - BoD's, Risk Assessments, OMAR Notifications, Drilling / Completions / Workover / P&A programmes & MOC's

Experience & Qualifications:
* Significant discipline specific design and operational experience in Wells segment of industry.
* Industry recognized academic qualification (degree or equivalent).
* High level of competence and experience within technical discipline, preferably through a mix of design and operational experience.
* Full understanding of UK HES Guidelines and regulations.
* Positive leadership of Health, Environment and Safety management.
* Experience in supervising adherence to wells management systems an advantage.
* Strong leadership and team building skills with proven track record in delivering business results.
* Can develop and sustain collaborative relationships with teams to share lessons learned, best practices and to generate improvement opportunities.
* University degree in relevant subject
* Valid IWCF Well Control Level 4
* Valid BOSIET & HUET
