Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Well Services Operational Specialist on a contract basis. The position will be based in Basra, Iraq on a 7.5/3 rotation for 12 months +.

This is for an independent operator. This starts in April or early May, 2024.

The client is looking for someone at the following level SME (Subject Matter Expert) Well Control within Well Service

candidates must have: Valid International well control certificate (IWCF certificate or IADC) Supervisor level four (4)

Education

a) Candidate shall have a minimum of a Technical College Certificate/Diploma or Degree

b) Oil & Gas UK medical or equivalent.

c) Well Control: Minimum of IWCF (International Well Control Forum) Well Supervisor Level 4.

d) IMIST (International Minimum Industry Standard Training OPITO) Preferably e) Qualified as a IWCF Well Control Instructor.

Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience with an E & P operating company. · Extensive Well Services experience with an Operator. Recent experience (in the last three years preferred) in Workover, Completions, Well Interventions and Drilling operations. · Have the experience of rig-less units and workover/drilling rig acceptance, inspection, and start-up. · Significant experience in all areas of Well Services, Completion, Workover, Well Integrity Management Systems & abandonment operations. This inclusive of Coiled Tubing, HWO/Snubbing, Slick Wireline, Electric Wireline, artificial lift systems e.g. ESP's, Stimulations, Hydraulic Fracturing, TT Fishing, Nitrogen Services and Surface Well Testing, etc. · Experience in hostile downhole environments (H2S, CO2, and high pressure). ·

Experience in Wells and HSSE role with a proven track record and working knowledge of: a) Well Control b) Well construction process from Initial Design, Execution & Abandonment c) Well operational Completions, Well Interventions & Drilling project HSSE preparations with rig and rig-less start-up requirements.
