Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Subsea Lead Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Safety - Conducts all activities in a safe and effective manner and raises safety and environmental issues immediately and in line with corporate policy.
* Leadership - Act as the lead subsea engineer for the allocated projects to project manage and co-ordinate the detailed subsea design, installation and scheduling activities with discipline engineering support & vessel installation contractor together with other key project contractors involved in delivering the projects
* Financial - Carries out duties in a way that maximises value and minimises waste and risk.
* Technical - Carry out technical reviews of contractors' documentation to ensure that subsea development programmes and designs are executed on time, within budget and to high quality and reliability.
* Represent the Company at meetings with contractors as required
* Provide subsea engineering support for the development of the project Consents and Licensing
requirements
* Ensure work is completed in compliance with corporate standards, HSSE policies & procedures and
industry regulations
* Act as the key interface between 3rd Party Host operations teams (onshore/offshore), subsea engineering teams and contractor representatives, managing their activities effectively to ensure quality and delivery of services within agreed budgets
* Collaboration - Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan and successfully execute all engineering for underwater operations.
* Develop and maintain positive and constructive relationships with internal and external contacts and hold regular feedback meetings with stakeholders in subsea engineering activities
* Continuous Improvement & Innovation - Take ownership of the continuous development of personal knowledge and technical expertise.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
* Extensive design and subsea installation experience of delivering subsea tie backs projects
* Familiarity with subsea engineering good practice within the oil and gas industry
* Proven ability to effectively co-ordinate and manage high-value subsea projects
* Technical proficiency in IT programmes/systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, database management, etc.)
* Full familiarity with UK industry regulations relating to the oil and gas industry
* Experience of dealing with external bodies e.g. HSE, DECC, SFF, JNCC etc.
* Effective relationship-builder at all levels, internally and externally.
* Knowledge of process required to ensure the implementation of Permits, Licenses, Approvals, Notifications and Consents required for subsea projects
* Experience of contractual and commercial negotiations and subsequent management thereof
* Knowledge of create project work program and budgets, cost management and forecasting

Qualifications/Training:
* Degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline
* Offshore Medical & Survival Certification
