Great opportunity for a Sr. Facilities Project Engineer to work for a reputable E&P Company on a major Greenfield offshore project.

This role will provide Facilities Project Engineering input to the Commissioning & Start-up plans developed by the project, ensuring readiness for start-up and co-ordinates assigned work scopes required to bring the facilities into operations safely.

Responsibilities:

Provide engineering support for project team with particular focus on the facilities engineering, permitting and environmental technical engineering activities;

  • Review Contractors Deliverables (as assigned and as applicable) and provide feedback/comments against the relevant project specifications and regulatory requirements.

  • Supporting the delivery of discrete work packages/resolving technical issues assigned by the Facilities & Start-up Manager

  • Co-ordinates ad-hoc engineering support required by the delivery lines in support of their activities

  • Responsible for developing technical study scopes and managing 3rd party consultants as required during the project execute phase

  • Development and administration of tender scopes of the work and packages as assigned within Engineering and Quality function.

  • Support the transition of the project into Operations and ensures required documentation is available

  • Provide input to the Commissioning & Start-up plans developed by the project

  • Assist the Facilities & Start-up Manager in ensuring readiness for start-up

Required Experience:

After extensive discipline experience the successful candidate will have demonstrated broader whole of project focus and increasing responsibilities in engineering, commissioning and start-up of facilities. Demonstratable track record integrating multiple work streams. Process Engineering background preferred.

  • Chartered Engineer by recognised industry body (desirable)

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in the offshore oil and gas industry

  • Previous experience on large greenfield project in an Operator role preferred

  • Fully conversant with regards to discipline technical knowledge.

  • Experience working across various project phases including design, construction, installation and commissioning

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up,

  • Expert awareness of international codes and standards

  • Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred

  • Hands-on experience in dealing with technical issues and providing solutions (with limited oversight)
