Job description

Great opportunity for a Sr. Facilities Project Engineer to work for a reputable E&P Company on a major Greenfield offshore project.

This role would be a mix of study management, providing Process support to the onshore Natural Gas Metering Station (NGMS) and also input to start-up work.

Main elements of the role are summarised below:

Facilities Project Engineering

Provide engineering support for project team with particular focus on the facilities engineering, permitting and environmental technical engineering activities;

  • Review Contractors Deliverables (as assigned and as applicable) and provide feedback/comments against the relevant project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with monitoring Contractor's Engineering progress and contribute to the preparation of Facilities weekly and monthly reports.
  • Active participation and coordination of Management of Change (MOC) and Technical Query processes run by Contractors.
  • Responsible supporting the delivery of discrete work packages/resolving technical issues assigned by Facilities Lead
  • Co-ordinates ad-hoc engineering support required by the delivery lines in support of their activities
  • Responsible for developing technical study scopes and managing 3rd party consultants as required during the project execute phase
  • Development and management of COMPANY tender scopes of the work and tender packages as assigned within Engineering and Quality function.
  • Support the transition of the project into Operations and ensures required documentation is available
  • Provide Project and Process Engineering input to the Commissioning & Start-up plans developed by the project

Process Engineering

Provide Process Engineering discipline support and package management for the NGMS facilities, They will be responsible for the following activities in relation to the process system;

  • Driving the contractor to deliver the NGMS process scope as per the project schedule
  • Ensuring contractor implements project and corporate standards to deliver a compliant process design
  • Ensuring upstream and downstream interfaces are considered in the NGMS design and that the system is safe and operable as a whole
  • Responding to Technical Queries from the contractor
  • Reviewing contractor documents in a timely manner and working with the contractor to resolve any issues
  • Participate in project assurance reviews including HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA
  • Participating in audits as required.
  • Contributing to HAZOP and HAZID workshops and other project assurance activities
  • Following Management of Change (MOC) processes
