Job description

Position Summary:
* To read understand and implement the Company and Project HSEQ Policy and the Company Management System documents
* Demonstrate high profile and visible safety leadership by example and through effective communication.
* Ability to understand the requirements of process safety and practical safety of work site executions.
* The ability to integrate into a multi discipline client contractor organization.
* The drive to focus on the most effective execution methodology that minimizes safety exposure through the design and construction/commissioning methodologies.
* Identify and confirm detailed scopes of work and create construction work packs.
* Responsible for the direction of the project site supervision to achieve the project objectives
* Take ownership and responsibility for safety, cost, schedule and construction engineering of the project defined scope.
* The ability to think out of the box to ensure the most cost-effective end solution is achieved by ensuring the following key criteria are utilized: Is it Safe, does it work, is it cost effective

Accountabilities/Expectations:
* Single Point Responsible for the safe execution of the defined work scope.
* Understand and be responsible for managing the site safety rules.
* Responsible for the preparation, execution and mechanical completion of the known and identified scope of work
* Responsible for implementation. operation and updating of discipline progress tracking systems
* Responsible for managing a dedicated contractor work force in the area or be part of integrated team managing a combined resourced construction/commissioning team.
* Participate in site safety audits regarding work execution, permits, work site standards and workforce knowledge of the work.
* Ensure all preparatory work is completed prior to planned start date.
* Ensure all construction work packs and materials are on site prior to work starting.
* Ensure a fully briefed workforce and operational staff including valid permits and risk assessments.
* Ensure accurate progress reporting of physical scope completion
* Raise technical queries associated with site design/ operational changes.
* Maintain and validate site query log
* Ensure expediting any material/design requirements.
* Ensure planning of vendor mobilization personnel.
* Responsible for efficient performance of the work execution by ensuring, scope preparation is completed before the planned start date, material is on site, work permits are approved and are understood, supporting services are in place and have been completed to allow the commencement of the planned work scope
* Participate in joint walk downs of systems for handover to Commissioning and Operations.
* Support to commissioning department for functional commissioning.
* Support to both operations and commissioning for full function testing.

Education
* BSc. Or equivalent university degree in any of the main Engineering disciplines Electrical equivalent or Trade qualification with relevant recent experience.
* Holds the relevant medical and training certificates to work offshore GOM

Essential skills/experience required:
* Minimum 10 years' experience in Oil and Gas related projects
* Minimum 5 years' experience in Oil and Gas Project Delivery as Work pack Developer / Construction Engineer in a multidiscipline workforce
* Experience in work planning and work pack compilation
* Strong Safety leadership and teambuilding skills
* Supervisory experience
* Strong influencing, interpersonal and team leadership skills.
* Strong writing and computing skills, Fluent English language skills

Preferred Experience:
* Hook up and Commissioning on major offshore green field projects.
