Job Title - Senior QA/QC Engineer
Location - Aberdeen (Hybrid, 3 days office/ 2 days home)
Details/duties:
* Manage all QA/QC activities within the Contract and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with contract requirements, Company procedures and recommendations and statutory requirements.
* Establish and implement a Contract Quality Management System to provide assurance that all Contract deliverables are fit for purpose and conform to all relevant contract requirements, Company General Specifications, Industry Standards, Legislation etc.
* Develop and implement the Contract Quality Plan and ensure the delivery of the associated quality objectives.
* Identify, develop, and maintain contract specific documentation (procedures, forms etc.) where required, ensure their effective implementation and ongoing suitability.
* Provide input to and support the Subcontractor/vendor evaluation processes and monitor Subcontractor/vendor performance.
* Provide Quality input to Technical Bid evaluations and associated bid clarification meetings.
* Ensure all Subcontractors comply with all applicable Company Specifications, procedures etc.
* Verify that Criticality Rating assessments are undertaken prior to award of a Subcontract or Purchase Order and that an appropriate inspection level is being applied.
* Review and endorse engineering Purchase & Service Request Forms for procured equipment. Review and approve Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans submitted by vendors and Subcontractors.
* Review and comment on Subcontractor/vendor QA/QC Documentation & Records submitted through IDC.
* Ensure Subcontractor/vendor adherence to approved Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans and manage their performance and confirm agreed QA/QC activities are implemented.
* Participate in Kick-off & Pre-Production/Inspection Meetings for various equipment orders and modification projects.
* Provide estimates for all required Quality support, QA/QC manhours and manage the inspection budgets.
* Manage and coordinate in-house and 2nd Party Inspection resources as required.
* Develop and implement a yearly contract Quality audit program (internal, Subcontractors and vendors)
* Conduct internal and external audits and prepare, report and close out resultant audit reports and findings results from the audits.
* Proactively manage, promote, and support the use of the Non-Conformance Reporting process.
* Drive close-out of non-conformances and corrective actions listed on action tracker, identify trends or overdue actions and report updates to the QHSE Lead.
* Attend all Quality meetings (internal, with Company, with Subcontractors etc).
* Ensure Quality Risks are managed in accordance with the risk management process.
* Prepare for, conduct, and report on Lessons Learned sessions internally and with suppliers, helping to aid continual improvement in the organizations.
* Any other duties as directed but the QHSE Manager or Partner Quality Manager
Qualifications/Experience required:
* Proven work experience in a similar QA/QC position
* Minimum: Bachelor's degree in an area of Engineering or equivalent experience
* Experienced and Qualified Lead Auditor
* Experience in the Oil & Gas industry from operator and contractor perspectives.
* Experience in Document Control Systems
* Knowledge and experience of applying engineering specifications and international standards to ensure that customer and legislative requirements are achieved.
* Familiar with relevant national and international codes & standards
* Experience in delivering continual improvement.
