OCCMS is a company specializing in [brief description of OCCMS's area of expertise]. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled developer/support specialist to join our team and play a key role in the development, implementation, and support of our Orbit CMS management system.
Responsibilities:
Comprehend and comply with OCCMS Management Systems and assist in their full implementation.
Work collaboratively with the development team to develop and create code and features for the Orbit CMS management system, in both web and Windows application variants using VB.Net/C# as appropriate.
Participate in the development and maintenance of the Orbit API web service.
Design and maintain database schema and stored procedures for Orbit databases in line with best practices for optimal performance.
Provide development, support, and maintenance for software and systems developed, supplied, or resold by OCCMS, including:
Maintenance, development, and support of software products for clients.
Answering support queries and requests via various channels (email, phone, etc.).
Liaising with third-party suppliers and client IT personnel to resolve support issues.
Provision and installation of computer equipment and software.
Preparing, reviewing, and updating training materials, user manuals, and other company documentation.
Assist with the procurement of equipment from distributors and resellers under the supervision of the Managing Director.
Test and document software packages developed by OCCMS to identify and report defects and issues.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed when company resources are stretched.
Support the Managing Director and other staff in providing software and hardware support to client companies as defined in support contracts or on an ad-hoc basis.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in developing and supporting software applications, preferably in web and Windows environments.
Strong understanding of VB.Net and/or C# programming languages.
Experience with SQL Server and database design principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience in providing technical support to clients.
A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
