Location - Rosyth
Standard rate of pay £17.25 per hour plus shift allowances and overtime
Duration - 12 weeks, possibly longer
The role involves working with a range of lifting and transport equipment including mobile cranes, Goliath crane, overhead travelling cranes, forklift trucks, SPMT`s and mechanical handling equipment.
The role will be a multi-skilled one and may grow to cover Goliath crane and SPMT operations.
The post holder will be expected to execute lifting operations in a safe and controlled manner on behalf of the Company in accordance with the Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998 and job specific method statements.
The successful candidate will be expected to work the hours required to complete the job, often out-with standard hours. Training will be provided where necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in slinging / rigging with the use of a range of equipment. (Plate / bulbar / beam clamps, magnets, vacuums etc.)
- Recognised slinger signaller qualification - Min NVQ2 or equivalent.
- Recognised rigger / fleeting qualification desirable.
- Fork lift / side loader driving certificates
- OHT Crane Certificates (Desirable but not essential)
- MEWPS Training, IPAF (Desirable but not essential)
Successful candidate will be able to satisfy requirement for MOD security clearance and Disclosure Scotland.
