The Site Survey Manager will be responsible for the planning, development, oversight, and data evaluation of multiple phases of offshore survey campaigns for the company's offshore wind project in the New York Bight. The Site Survey Manager will bring expertise for soil-related topics and will be responsible for providing site specific data (geophysical, geotechnical, metocean, etc.) to the Project by organizing safe and effective survey
* Preparation of scope of work, tender specifications, and contracts for G&G and other subsurface surveys and data collection efforts, and ensure that site survey methods, scope, and overall campaign timeline meets project needs, regulatory requirements, and technical standards
* Develop, seek regulatory and stakeholder feedback on, and manage execution of multi-year G&G and other subsurface survey campaigns, including the procurement, contracting, and management of related consultant/contractor services
* Organize ancillary survey components (client representatives, PSO/MMO), and act as Company Representative vis-a-vis survey contractors if needed
* Analyze publicly available resource data and ensuring compliance with regulatory authority requirements, guidelines, technical standards, and best practices for surveys
* Contribute to the preparation of permit applications for data collection campaigns and planning for surveys to comply with regulatory requirements, and coordinate with and participate in meetings with federal agencies (BOEM, NOAA NMFS, USFWS, etc.) and state agencies to provide subject matter expertise on behalf of the company
* Manage budget and ensure delivery to contract requirements and supporting with any variation orders and claims with the support of company Total Group Procurement
* Be responsible for the delivery schedule and quality of data
* Ensure that all work is performed safely and in accordance with regulations, TotalEnergies' requirements, and best industry practices
* Evaluate potential synergies with environmental surveys
* Liaise with TotalEnergies' geotechnical / geophysicist / metocean / geomatics specialists
* Coordinate with the Project technical team and support Project steps by bringing expertise for soil-related topics (soil risks, foundation design, pile driving, etc.)
* Develop UXO mitigation strategy
* If needed, provide support for the certification of the offshore wind project
* To a large extent, act in project-specific roles comparable to the Site Survey Manager job description as part of group-wide project organizations and in such role reports to applicable work package / workstream / project manager of the respective project(s)
* Travel across project and company offices and to meet with suppliers and other key interest groups
* Perform other tasks and takes on additional duties as reasonably assigned by supervisor, project manager and/or group unit


* 10 years' experience in offshore projects, preferably for offshore wind
* Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in geosciences, geophysics, or related field
* Strong experience in managing site investigation surveys
* Understanding of offshore wind development, design and construction activities
* Knowledge of international standards such as ISO 19901-8, for marine soil investigations.
* Knowledge of geophysics (MBES, SSS, MAG, UHR) and offshore geotechnics (CPT, sampling, drilling) techniques
* Knowledge of geotechnical design for offshore wind foundations
* Knowledge of geophysics and geotechnics integration
* Ability to work and deliver against challenging constraints
* Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage own workload, meet schedules and coordinate a number of external and internal stakeholders, sometimes under tight timelines
* Knowledge of offshore wind, including US offshore wind regulations and environmental and technical standards and best practices
* Commitment to HSE best standards and best practices
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels within a company and externally to diverse audiences and stakeholders
* Excellent technical writing skills, and ability to analyze and synthesize complex data and clearly communicate key information
* Innovative, proactive, and responsible
* Team player with ability to work collaboratively across complex project teams and interface between interdisciplinary departments
