Shift Instrument Technician

Location: Barrow-In-Furness

Salary: Circa £60,000 - £66,000

Shifts:

3 days / 2 nights - 5 off
2 days / 2 nights - 5 off
2 days / 2 nights - 4 off

This is an opportunity to join a pioneering energy company with a portfolio and ambitions that span the breadth of the energy transition. This position will undertake routine and non-routine engineering maintenance and defect/responsive breakdown repair tasks that ensure the reliability and scheduled availability of operational plant and equipment associated with gas production/processing and condensate storage facilities.

The Job:
* To execute routine and non-routine maintenance activities efficiently to agreed processes/procedures and operational requirements.
* Investigates complex technical problems relating to critical plant, identifies solutions and acts to return plant to normal operating service with minimal supervision.
* Prepare and present technical reports and maintains appropriate records of activities within recognised systems.
* Inspection and maintenance of instrumentation equipment in hazardous areas.
* Liaise with operational/production staff and Technicians in other disciplines to ensure a safe and effective approach to tasks within the overall operational and maintenance programme.

The Person:
* A BTEC Higher National Certificate or equivalent in an appropriate engineering subject.
* Experience of the maintenance of high pressure process plant and equipment.
* Experience in complex technical problem solving across Gas Production and Condensate Storage Facilities.
* Must have sufficient knowledge of procedures and be able to relate them to the work activities to ensure a safe approach and that appropriate permitry/controls are requested and in place.
* Ex Equipment in Hazardous Areas (CompEx)
