Job description

Our client, a leading fuel distribution company, is currently recruiting for a Service Engineer to join their Boiler Maintenance team on full-time, permanent basis. This is a field-based role covering Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Main Duties

  • Perform routine servicing on various oil heating appliances commonly found in domestic and small industrial settings. This includes boilers, furnaces, and heaters, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
  • Repair and Maintenance of Oil Fired Appliances, this involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or other technical problems to restore functionality to oil-fired appliances.
  • Documentaing all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and service reports.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations such as equipment failures, leaks, or spills, following established protocols to contain risks, minimize environmental impact, and swiftly address any issues to prevent further damage or disruptions.
  • In addition, there is an optional commission benefits scheme for oil boiler exchange installations and heating system pressure cleaning.

Skills & experience

  • Knowledge and experience in fault finding
  • Possess a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, a commitment to safety, and excellent customer service abilities
  • Repair and maintenance of oil fired appliances
  • Successful applicant would ideally hold OFTEC qualification
  • A valid UK driving licence is essential
