Job description

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Controls Expert to join a Global Energy & Chemicals company based in Austria.

As part of their group strategy, they intend to transition from an integrated oil, gas, and chemicals company to a leading provider of innovative and sustainable fuels, chemicals, and materials, while taking a leading global role in the circular economy.

The Role:

  • Develop and improve the full project controls structure, tools and systems pertaining to the project controls effort, Project Management System, and stage-gated work process activities.
  • Accountable for developing, implementing, and assuring necessary processes and tools for the Project Controls System in all main expertise strings (Planning & Scheduling, Cost Estimating and Project Control).
  • Monitor project deviations regarding cost and schedule versus the baseline on a portfolio level and carry out root cause analysis and propose improvement measures.
  • Develop and perform quantitative (integrated) cost and schedule risk analysis by setting up the necessary models, collecting and applying uncertainty and risk information, and compiling reports.
  • Improve procedures and guidelines, to enable best-in-class project delivery and support continuous improvement.

Required Experience:

  • University Degree Master/Diploma in Engineering or Economics or Project Management.
  • Minimum of 9 years relevant years of experience in Project Controls.
  • Extensive experience in project planning and control as well as risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of Project control tools, extensive experience in cost and schedule benchmarking, and relevant experience in cost estimating.
  • Experience in carrying out assurance activities and ability to deliver findings in a structured manner to all levels of the organisation.
  • Fluent in English.
