Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Senior Contracts Manager on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Immingham.
Reporting to the Regional Subcontracts Manager EMEA, you will play a crucial role in contract strategy development and execution planning.

Your responsibilities will include:

Drafting market inquiries and pro-forma contract models for various major contracts, including EPC scope delivery.
Managing contract commercial models (Unit rates, reimbursable, Lump Sum) and overseeing contract administration.
Negotiating and awarding contracts, ensuring alignment on technical and commercial evaluations.
Utilizing Quantity Surveying for remeasure contracts, monthly payment approvals, and progress payments evaluation.
Handling Change Management, documenting contractual arguments, and managing claims, including counterclaims.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Collaborating with project teams to support goals in Contracting Strategy, Proposals, Sourcing, Contracting Awards, and Project Contract Execution for Engineering, Construction, and EPC Projects.
Providing proposal and estimating support, implementing Projects Subcontracts Strategy, and preparing sourcing plans.
Leading bid packages, conducting kick-off meetings, and overseeing the contract demand planning process.
Timely preparation of legal and contractual documents, negotiation of cost impacts, and schedule changes with Suppliers.
Performance management of contracts, maintaining relationships with suppliers at a senior level within their organizations.

Critical Competencies:

Expertise in EPC Contract management and end-to-end contract placement to close-out.
Proficiency in contract management, administration, claims resolution, and quantity surveying.
Strong skills in drafting contracts, understanding contract risk, and key contract clauses.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and facilitative skills across cultures and geographies.
Organizational and time management skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Understanding of macro-economic factors and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and collaborative tools.
Knowledge of SAP and requisition-to-pay processes.

Qualifications:

MRICS and/or CIPS certification.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical/Civil) or QS; MBA is advantageous.
Extensive experience in EPC/Oil and Gas companies, including FIDIC/QS experience.
In-depth knowledge of contracts and contractual language.
Excellent oral and written English proficiency; a second language is advantageous.
