Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior C&I Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Failure and incident investigation / Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
* Approval of Management of Change (MOC).
* Regulatory assurance.
* Review and accept or reject deviations to codes, standards, practices, and guidelines.
* Approve changes to Ops procedures and manuals.
* Review and endorse MEDIUM level Operations Risk Assessments (ORA).
* Check and approve changes to critical docs (e.g. P&IDs and C&Es).
* Support in the ranking and management of facilities risks.
* Support in the development of improvement opportunities.
* Support project scopes and development.
* Scoping, estimating and drafting of Statement of Requirements (SOR) for Modification Projects.
* Scope and support external study work.
* Close out or verify actions (e.g. Events, MyHSES).
* Contract management of key service contracts.
* Approve repair plans (anomalies/breakdown).
* Identify and endorse shutdown activities as required.
* Visibly support a process safety ambition and hydrocarbon leak prevention plan.
* Actively support technology development and evaluation.
* Act as a conduit between Technical Authorities, Performance Standards and front-line engineers and technicians to improve delivery of safe operations.
* Actively support an Incident Free Workplace mindset.
* Visibly contribute to integrated planning and department objectives.
* Development of AFE's (Approval For Expenditure) as required.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Engineering qualification.
* Substantial engineering and operations and maintenance experience in oil and gas.
* Very high level of technical and engineering competence.
* Experience with operational technologies such as PLCs, SCADA, DCS and Safety Systems (SIS, F&G, ESD, PSS/PSD).
* TUV Functional Safety Engineer certification or equivalent experience in the application of IEC 61511.
* Ability to review and analyse technical and operational data effectively.
* Knowledge with Cyber Security Standards including IEC 62443 and OG 86.
