Job description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled engineer with a strong electrical background, extensive experience in cable engineering/design, and a proven track record in cable manufacturing, termination, and testing. This role involves leading the engineering of supply, jointing, termination, and testing of array cables and associated connection equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer supply, jointing, termination, and testing of array cables in compliance with client requirements and standards.
  • Lead technical interfaces within the cable package, providing input to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Ensure internal technical requirements are incorporated into supplier designs.
  • Evaluate technical proposals from suppliers.
  • Verify supplier product design through documentation review or independent analyses.
  • Review and accept design of cable routes and routing plans.
  • Provide technical input for project risks/opportunities, change requests, and claims.
  • Manage project-specific inspection and testing activities.
  • Review and accept quality-related documentation from suppliers.
  • Prepare inspection checklists for manufacturing and testing phases.
  • Prepare O&M Level 2 Manual, spare parts, and tools register for handover.
  • Manage NCR and LL in Synergi.
  • Oversee the electrical and thermal aspects of cables and CPSs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of HV cable systems, including electrical and thermal aspects.
  • Ability to interpret industry standards and provide effective technical solutions during project maturation and execution.
