Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Ruya Batch 1 RP Senior Electrical Engineer on a contract basis. The position will be based in Doha. For further information about this position please apply.

Job Requirement

Engineering degree in Electrical engineering.
Experience: minimum 12 years' experience, in Electrical field in offshore Oil and Gas industry.
Computer literate, especially in Electrical engineering software and AVEVA Electrical product
Familiar with Total general specifications is a plus, and with relevant codes and standards

Context & Environment

The scope of activities will concern green field (new development), brownfield activities (on existing platforms) and integration works. The activities include the review and comment of engineering and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with design dossier, SOR, Company specifications.
Engineering development take place EPCIC Engineering premises and then project team will move to fabrication yard of the Contractor

Job Description

Ensure and coordinate the proper realization of the Electrical design in compliance with Company Standard, Challenge EPCIC Contractor on the proposed design, oversee the development of the Electrical design including, electrical cable layout/schedule, load list, equipment datasheets, sizing calculation, schematic drawings, tie-in list, etc.

Thorough, efficient, and timely review of project Electrical discipline documents, realization of potential derogations to the standards, and challenge the design to achieve an optimize and fit for purpose outcome

Assisting to project studies and meetings related to the Electrical discipline as per project approved gate levels and design maturity

Assist in preparation and attend to project studies including model review, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability review, PRs.

Provide technical answers and clarifications to internal project audit sessions (PR, HAZOP, HAZID, etc.…).

Identifying potential risks and scope changes within the Electrical discipline, conducting initial impact assessment to provide detailed information to Package Engineering Coordinator.
