Job description

Cluster Quality Engineer - Electric Vehicle Charging (UK or Europe)

Our client is seeking a passionate Quality Engineer to join our growing EV team in London!

About the Role:

As we ramp up our Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging point footprint globally, we're building a robust Quality team to ensure safe, reliable operations and a superior customer experience. This role plays a pivotal part in achieving these goals, working closely with our FM&S organization and supply partners.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering "right first time & zero defects" across the entire EV charging value chain, including engineering design, supplier quality, project and operational excellence, and customer experience.
  • Supporting your assigned Future Mobility & Solutions (FM&S) operating country or regional cluster by implementing and governing global Quality standards, deploying and managing our Quality Management System, and cascading performance metrics.
  • Driving a strong "Quality culture" by developing in-country Quality capabilities at both personal and team levels.

You're a perfect fit if you have:

  • A university degree (or equivalent) in a related engineering discipline, extensive experience in a Quality Engineering role can be considered in place of formal qualifications.
  • Proven experience as a Quality professional (ideally a Quality Engineer or above) within a similar customer-focused environment like construction & commissioning, electrical, software, or supply chain (automotive preferred).
  • Solid understanding of project quality assurance, root cause analysis, ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, and supply chain quality.
  • A customer-focused and agile mindset with the ability to self-manage, prioritize independently, and drive continuous improvement through strong teamwork.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with the Electric Vehicle charging segment, or a similar high-volume, high-reliability environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working within a global matrix organization and a large installed footprint with a field service environment.
  • A track record of setting up new Quality systems in a growth environment.
