Job Opportunity: QHSE Advisor

Location: Providence, RI

Department: Regional QHSE Advisors, Americas

Duration: 12-month contract, with the option for a 12-month extension

Description & Responsibilities:

As a QHSE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in promoting and ensuring safety, health, and environmental standards within our organization. Your responsibilities will include providing expert guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees on safe work practices, compliance with legal regulations, and the identification and mitigation of potential hazards.

Success Criteria/KPIs:

Your success will be measured by your ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and legal requirements, your effectiveness in communication and collaboration, and your commitment to high work ethics and behaviors.

Key Interfaces to Other Functions/Stakeholders:

You will interact with various stakeholders including QHSE leadership managers, project and construction managers, client representatives, local regulators/authorities, Orsted employees, and contractors at the site.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • English language proficiency
  • Relevant academic or technical background
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in QHSE, preferably in relevant industries
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in IT tools (Microsoft Office package, knowledge of Synergi is an advantage)
  • Experience in dealing with third-party contractors in relation to QHSE

Desirable qualifications/experience:

  • QHSE degree qualification on Diploma or BS level
  • Completion of NEBOSH; ASP/CSP level, or similar recognized (Q)HSE qualification
  • Qualified/certified Auditor
  • Experience in delivering training courses/material

Working Conditions / Locations:

This role involves both onshore and offshore activities, with varying work patterns and flexibility required. The standard workweek is five days with ten-hour days, but it may extend during preassembly/loadout activities and offshore installations based on rotation options and crew exchanges.
