QC Chemist

$37 - $40 per hour with medical benefits available at a cost

6 month initial contract with possibility for extension

Standard first shift

Onsite in a cGMP environment

Orion Group and a market leading pharmaceutical company have an exciting contract opportunity for experienced QC Chemists in Worcester, MA!!!!

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chemist for conducting various laboratory tests and analyses to support research and development, quality control, and regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to contribute to scientific advancements in the field.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Creation of Empower reports including custom calculations for HPLC, CE-SDS and icIEF technology.
  • Validation of customized Empower reports.
  • Authoring cGMP documents in support of Empower reports
  • Impact assessment of test methods revisions against Empower reports.
  • Understands, implements and maintains cGMP with respect to laboratory records, procedures and systems in accordance with procedural requirements.
  • Accepts responsibility to complete assigned tasks within required timelines and works with others to accomplish business objectives.
  • Revises procedures as necessary and provides continuous improvement support for the department.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

  • BA/BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology or equivalent science degree and 5+ years of related work experience.
  • HPLC, CE or icIEF experience in a cGMP.
  • Empower software experience
  • Experience in cross functional roles or responsibilities
  • Quality Control lab experience with clinical and commercial products
