Location: Warrington/Westlakes

Role Description

Project Manager:

  • Delivery of concept design and detailed design phases of work
  • Managing a high number of client stakeholders for successful completion of design
  • Maintaining communications with stakeholders as well as on-off site teams
  • Working with engineering leads to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness to deliver in a timely manner fit for purpose and safe work
  • Ensure that the project baseline costs are met or bettered
  • Provision of weekly updates to enable effective progress monitoring and demonstrate value for money
  • Monthly project reporting
  • Milestone management
  • Maximising LFE "learning from experience"
  • Prioritising resources on task based perceived importance
  • Progression of timely responses to TQs
  • Subcontractor engagement
  • Liaise with area engineering manager on task progress and requirements
  • Manage EWN with attendance at weekly commercial meetings
  • Ensure project documentation is up to date throughout the project
  • Milestone management
  • Daily liaison with project team delivering works
  • Nuclear site experience
  • Oversee team welfare
  • Manage category improvement plan

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Previous experience of estimating
  • Educated to HNC/HND or degree in relevant discipline
  • Knowledge of EAC forecasting
  • Experience of the design lifecycle
  • Strong client facing skills both commercial and intelligent customer interactions
  • Demonstratable experience of commercial contract management associated with project management
  • Nuclear site experience (or a highly regulated industry)
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Able to work in a collaborative environment with appropriate behaviour

Desirable

  • APM qualification desirable
  • Overarching appreciation of multi-design interactions and interfaces
  • Other disciplined areas would be considered outside of nuclear
