We have a current opportunity for a Project Engineering Manager on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Woking with a leading engineering consultancy that is responsible for global projects.


Job Description:

We are seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead a multi-discipline engineering team in producing deliverables aligned with project plans. The role primarily involves managing FEED offshore projects valued up to £6 million, executed within a 6 to 8 month timeframe. The position requires hands-on collaboration in a dynamic and expanding environment, supporting both Low Carbon/Energy Transition and traditional offshore energy projects. Hybrid working options are available.

Responsibilities:

Manages internal and external stakeholders, project controls, procurement, and third-party contractors.
Works independently within schedules and budgets, setting up projects at the FEED stage.
Handles change management and ensures design consistency across disciplines.
Supports project progress and reporting, contributing to large capital Pre-FEED/FEED projects.
Reports to Departmental/Group Manager, with involvement in bid preparation and project execution plans.
Reviews ITB documents, estimates man-hours, ensures compliance with client specifications, and recommends cost-effective improvements.
Leads Engineering Design Reviews, participates in strategic procurement planning, and has strong offshore platform design experience during FEED/detailed design.

Requirements:

Master's degree in engineering; Chartered Status preferred.
Significant project engineering management experience in Oil and Gas and Low Carbon Energy Transition industries.
Expertise in Pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, or EPC projects in offshore oil and gas.
Knowledge of cost, estimating, planning execution, and international codes.
Proficiency in safety and quality procedures, with a global work experience.
Strong management, communication, and leadership skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and adept at meeting schedules and deadlines.
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
