Job description

Orion Group Life Sciences are currently recruiting a Production Planner on behalf of our Multinational Biopharmaceutical Client based in Dunboyne, Meath on an initial 11-Month contract with potential to extend.

Responsibilities:

  1. Co-ordinate the development all planning aspects of Manufacturing Operations in accordance with cGMP regulations, applicable safety considerations SOPs.

  2. Co-ordinate with the SFO leadership team to align on templates and tools to determine the optimal use of resources to meet production targets and provide as input to the finite schedule process/governance.

  3. Development and implementation of systems for scheduling and documenting of predictable patterns of work for manufacturing-based activities:

    * Co-ordinate the activities of the Shop Floor Operations, Cell Banking planning and scheduling within the BioNX Facility to ensure the is sufficient detail on tasks which are to be executed in the manufacturing areas.

    * Develop standard hours for operational tasks such a rhythm of predictable patterns of work can be understood, rolling into CI initiatives as appropriate.

    * Co-ordinate with utilities and engineering such that any maintenance, calibrations, and vendor activities are level loaded and planned in line with batch schedules, ensuring all compliance needs are met for calibration/maintenance.

    * Work with facilities teams as required facilitating routine and maintenance activities, establishing predictable patterns of work.

    * Create process to report Key Performance indicators versus plan through tier processes on a Daily and weekly basis.

    * Assist in the handover process where key deliverables relating to the planning role must be reported and documented.

    * Support monthly trending and analysing of performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of operational, calibration and maintenance systems.

  4. Work closely with the Supply Chain Team to communicate the material ordering requirements.

    * Build an excellent relationship with warehouse and SC planning team.

    * Ensure purchase orders are placed in line with lead times and agreed SLAs with site customers.

    * Work closely with the Material Availability Team to communicate the material ordering plan

  5. Work with the Tech Transfer, Cell banking, Process Engineering, Technology and Automation teams to ensure the management project deliverables, tracked through the Power Project platform have a link to the SFO planning and scheduling process for seamless and on time execution on plant, where required. Overall task scheduling, critical path analysis & resource loaded scheduling for these project related activities.

  6. Facilitating regular schedule reviews at shop floor level (tier 1), with management (tier 2) and senior management (tier 3)

  7. Coordinate various functions within organisation to maintain accurate records on schedule adherence, developing standard units of measure for schedule adherence.

  8. Coach/Mentor teams in schedule formation/creation

  9. Key advantage is familiarisation of management tools such as power project & SAP

  10. Person will need to be a self-starter, require excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with wide variety of stakeholders.

  11. Utilize software programs designed to support planning and scheduling for the BioNX facility inclusive of enterprise digital systems

Preferred skills:

  • Production Planning and scheduling experience (min 2 years)

  • Power Project platform: Power Projects, PowerBI
