Our client is looking to onboard a Production Manager to be located in their flagship plant in Sugar Land, Texas.

As a Production Manager, you will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee the production activities at the Sugar Land, Texas plant ensuring development and implementation of efficient production and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the plant. Essential Functions
Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization's operations division.
Collaborates with Plant Manager to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization's goals and objectives.
Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, production efficiency and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision, including its financial goals.
Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering field with a minimum of 5 years applicable experience working in production, manufacturing, operations and/or engineering within a plant environment along with a minimum of 3 years of direct leadership/management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
BS/MS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
5 years' experience in a Chemical Manufacturing Plant
Ability to effectively manage projects through all stages
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Demonstrated process improvement experience
Batch operations experience
Ability to interpret and generate mechanical flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, electrical diagrams, and instrument diagrams.
Knowledge of PSM, EPA, TCEQ and DOT regulations
Ability to lead and participate in cross-functional team
Good organizational and time management skills
Experience in oil field chemicals production
Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP
Must be able to work independently with minimal work direction
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
All candidates must have the ability to speak, read and write English
