Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Process Instructor / Assessor, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Delivery and assessment of all the company's Process training programmes to Awarding Body standards
* In conjunction with the Quality Assurance Lead, assist in the assessment and internal verification processes to the required standard in line with Awarding Body criteria and requirements
* Ongoing review and development of the OPITO OGTAP Scheme Process training programme and the company's range of Process commercial training courses
* Completion of all the company's quality assurance documentation and Awarding Body documentation in line with the company and Awarding Body procedures
* Ensure all relevant evidence of learning is accurately and correctly documented and accurately completed for each delegate
* In conjunction with the Operations Manager maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures
* Provide feedback and support to course delegates and apprentices on a one-to-one or group basis
* Review training course content, materials and delivery methods on a regular basis and amend where improvement has been identified and is required
* Prepare and assist with internal and external Awarding Body audits, in conjunction with the company's Quality Assurance Lead
* Be responsible for ensuring that all commercial delegates and OPITO apprentices under his / her supervision, always comply with the company and NESCol's Health & Safety Procedures

Experience & Qualifications:
* Relevant industry work related experience operating as an Oil & Gas Production (Process) Technician covering the following job tasks:
 Monitor the DCS & F&G/ESD control systems, ensuring the Plant is operated safely and efficiently complying with operational procedures
 Responding to F&G/ESD alarms, provide the first response to any platform status changes
 Monitors/controls hydrocarbon flows and plant conditions report malfunctions and make recommendations on/carry out necessary adjustments
 Prepares plant/equipment for maintenance work, undertakes re-commissioning / re-start activities
 Ensures field and plant flows are maintained to platform requirements and specifications
 Controls and monitors plant operations, identify abnormal situations and takes appropriate action
 Carries out site checks and gas checks before commencing work
 Assists in the shut-down and start-up of plant equipment
 Safely recover plant from shut-down situations to minimise production losses
 Carries out process system sampling, plant inspections, isolations, gas tests and chemical injections
 Ensures all production reporting requirements are carried out
 Completes detailed written and verbal shift handovers using appropriate logs and procedures
* SVQ Level 3 Processing of Hydrocarbons certification or equivalent apprenticeship certification
* *Current or previous vocational training experience
