Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Process Engineer/Senior Process Engineer, based in St Fergus.

Responsibilities:
* Development and update of standard operating procedures.
* Application of net zero roadmap optimisations and activities.
* Identify and implement alarm management strategies.
* Be conversant with and ensure compliance to UK legislation, company policies and procedures.
* Lead defined activities as delegated by the Operations Support Manager in relation to the optimisation of SFGT and pipeline operations.
* Preparation of and management of Class 2 Process studies and work scopes as delegated by the Operations Support Manager.
* Prepare and issue Statement of Requirement (SoR) documents to the Balmoral technical support team as delegated by the Operations Support Manager.
* Participate in studies and activities to support class 1 and 2 project lifecycles, HAZID's, HAZOP's, constructability reviews etc.
* Provide technical and operational input to the Balmoral technical support team to assist in the progression and life cycle of defined class 1 and class 2 projects, as delegated by the Operations Support Manager.
* Awareness and application of Human Factors concepts within procedures and operations at the terminal.
* Identifies and applies opportunities to improve safety and environmental PSPIs.
* Support the Operations Support Manager in application of behavioural safety and process safety initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering.
*Awareness of Major Accident Hazard (MAH) scenarios identified within the COMAH report.
*Data interpretation & analysis, analysing problems & developing solutions.
*Can perform process calculations and review for front line Process support.
*Proficient in the use of Microsoft office for report writing and information dissemination.
