Pipeline Engineer

Our client, a leading international Oil & Gas operator, have an opportunity for a Senior Pipeline Engineer on a contract basis. The position will likely be based in the UK but also possibly the UAE or Oman.

The project is based in Iraq and includes 4 sub projects: Common Seawater Supply Project, Gas Midstream project and Solar Power Plant and Associated Gas Upstream Project

Candidates must have:

• Engineering degree or equivalent
• Experience: >10 years in same or equivalent position
• Languages: English
• Advanced expertise is required in project at all life-cycle stages of project development (FEED, Basic and Detailed Engineering, etc)

During the FEED and EPSCC Phase, the Service holder is in charge to:
* To ensure that the pipelines system is properly designed, integrating various aspects which include specific engineering features like seismic & strain-based design, pipelines metallurgy, HSE and constructability (including installation
strategy).
* To ensure interfacing with all required other Project engineering disciplines and to ensure consistency with the overall upstream engineering work.
* To participate as required to technical interfacing with other TotalEnergies internal entities and external entities (e.g. other Project). They will be also point of contact for interface with partners related to battery limits with other Projects facilities.

ACTIVITIES

* Engineering follow-up: To control the Contractors' performance in electrical discipline: timely delivery and review of Contractor's engineering documents, studies and queries through an efficient technical coordination scheme with the Contractors

* Value Engineering: To promote and implement optimized design solutions to reduce cost and schedule

* Engineering compliance: To ensure compliance of electrical engineering with the Project requirements and applicable standards. To Issue and follow-up Derogations requests.

* To ensure timely implementation of related audit findings

* QA/QC: To ensure necessary actions are taken in order to obtain the required certifications of the electrical installations in due time

* Reporting: To ensure adequate and timely reporting to the Engineering Manager

The Service holder is accountable to :

• Quality of the deliverables from FEED contractor
• LLI's procurement and delivery at Site
• Implementation, within his perimeter of the Project HSSE policy and National Content Plan to meet the IRAQ environment challenges
• Construction of the Onshore Pipelines as per agreed budget and planned schedule · Issue good quality of Close out report on EPC contractor performance
• Experienced in multicultural environment, resilience, and capacity to adapt to different environment
